Community Outreach

Community Relations provides support to the community through four campus-wide charitable programs.

  • UA Cares is The University of Arizona’s annual workplace giving campaign, offering University employees the opportunity to donate to any University programs through the UA Foundation, and to any non-profit agencies through the United Way of Tucson and Southern Arizona. ( )
  • UA4Food brings together the University family including faculty, staff, students and local merchants to raise food and monetary donations supporting the Community Food Bank’s Child Hunger & Nutrition Programs. (
  • Cats in the Community Day is the University of Arizona’s signature volunteer event including faculty, staff, students and local merchants. Every year the University selects a different non-profit organization to receive an “extreme makeover” including maintenance, repair, and artistic enhancements. The project is led by a cross-campus planning team, and many units and areas of campus are join the effort. The University’s advanced level graphic design students create and implement the artistic concepts for the project. (
